The EDUCATION FUND FOR SINDH (EFS)
Education Fund (EFS) for Sindh is a non-profit organisation which is responsible for running a voucher program with private schools, in order to improve school enrolment rates by encouraging out-of-school children to enrol.
EFS engaged Premier DLC in order to conduct teacher’s trainings on Early Grades Reading Assessments and basic pedagogy for about 2,500 teachers from over 500 schools. These training were conducted in areas of Karachi (Gadap, Bin Qasim, parts of Lyari etc.) Qambar Shahdadkot, Khairpur and Sukkur.
As part of its engagement with EFS, Premier DLC has been responsible for sample assessment of more than 120,000 students of over 500 EFS Partner schools on Early Grades Reading Assessments (EGRA) in English, Mathematics, Urdu and Sindhi for Grades 1 and 2. This assessment activity was rolled out in Karachi and parts of interior Sindh.
Additionally, Premier DLC was responsible for conducting school surveys and enrolment of over 100,000 students in schools across Karachi and interior Sindh.
